Welcome to The Kilbarrack Community Development Project (CDP)
The Kilbarrack Community Development Project (CDP) has been working for 18 years in the Kilbarrack area.
The Kilbarrack CDP was founded in 1994 by a group of local people who formed a steering group to ensure
that a local national school would be vested in the community after if had discontinued use as a school. The steering group became a CDP in 1994.
Kilbarrack CDP is a registered charity (CHY 14872) and became an independent community development project in 2011 following the austerity cutbacks of 2011 in order to protect it's community resource, principles and ethos.
Kilbarrack CDP seeks to be a radical vibrant centre for community development using community work, equality and social justice principles.
Mission:
The Kilbarrack Community Development Project aims to empower men, women, and children in the local community and catchment area to reach their full potential and participate fully in society by providing supports and resources in a safe environment.
